Some of you in here might know me, but a number of you probably won't. Anyway, I picked up a PS2 today and got Vice City and The Getaway with it (along with an official memory card).

If anyone wants to help out then I'm looking for PS2 titles to keep an eye on. So far I'm looking into picking up Tenchu, Gran Turismo 4 (when it comes out) and maybe Tekken 4.

Any titles that are multiformat I'll probably buy for XBox - so titles like Burnout 2, etc.

Lay off the mediocre titles though people cause I'm on limited funds, so its basically the best games that take priority over the different consoles I have.
Bonus is that if I don't like The Getaway I've only paid like £10 for it and I've been told I can trade it in and I'll be guaranteed to get like £20 for it - more then I originally paid for it. ;-))
Saw a good price on Tenchu so I might have to pick that up soon.

So yeah, I await the info on any games I simply "MUST" own. ;-)

Well my initial reaction to The Getaway is basically the same as plenty of others around here - its crap !

The initial idea is all well and good but it doesn't take much to kill you the camera in the game is a bloody nightmare. A royal balls up for a game that took so long to make.

Oh well, I can trade it in on Friday and get something good. ;-)

Yah-huh.
I really liked it - you've got loads of weapons and gadgets to use so you can choose do things your way, rather than just having the moves your given in most platformers.
And there's a load of replay value - with secret stuff to unlock.
Dunno what it was, but I liked it a lot.

Is that really any good? I like the idea and look of it, but I somehow remember the demo being a bit poor- or was that Jak and Daxter?

I like having the choice of being the SAS. Most of the time we have to be U.S forces all the time.

Chances are I'll probably pick up another PS2 game next Friday. At the moment it'll probably be between...
Ace Combat 4
Tekken 4
Smackdown 4
Tenchu

Wow, a lot of fours in that list. ;-)) Anyway, feel free to help steer me towards what you lot think of as the best choice in that list. ;-)

thats good to hear because i didnt think alot of people liked Conflict Desert Storm. In america every one is going mad over SOCOM so i think that it might be better then Desert storm but i think that SCi have alot to do because they might need to add more weapons etc for the different groups and possibly different missions instead of you doing the same missions with either the Delta force or the SAS
