If anyone wants to help out then I'm looking for PS2 titles to keep an eye on. So far I'm looking into picking up Tenchu, Gran Turismo 4 (when it comes out) and maybe Tekken 4.
Any titles that are multiformat I'll probably buy for XBox - so titles like Burnout 2, etc.
Lay off the mediocre titles though people cause I'm on limited funds, so its basically the best games that take priority over the different consoles I have.
Bonus is that if I don't like The Getaway I've only paid like £10 for it and I've been told I can trade it in and I'll be guaranteed to get like £20 for it - more then I originally paid for it. ;-))
Saw a good price on Tenchu so I might have to pick that up soon.
So yeah, I await the info on any games I simply "MUST" own. ;-)
Couple of things though - maybe its just me after not using a PS2 pad for awhile, but I found the controls pretty hard and unresponsive at times. I've never had problems with Tekken moves and combos in the past, but last night I was having some problems with it.
Secondly - Steve is utter crap ! There was me thinking "yay ! An English fighter !" - then things started to set in that he was bloody useless. The lack of kicks wasn't too suprising with him being a boxer, but the ducking and weaving you get instead is practically useless.
I got to grips with his moves and found that his punches were pretty weak a lot of the time - a jab from Nina was actually stronger ! Some boxer...
Most of his moves are high attacks so he's easy to defend against and then of course I decided to try and use the ducking and weaving - till every opponent instantly clocked on and basically booted me in the face. If the characters in this game actually had something called footwork then Steve's ducking and weaving could be pretty handy - unfortunatly the fighters in Tekken have the fluid and fast movement of a large tank.
I like the game, but at the same time it feels like a bit of an anti climax. Can't help but feel like it could have been better. :-|

Not it isn't. Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution tonks it!!!
Wouldn't mind picking up LMA Manager - thing is with manager games, no matter how good your team is, you always have to revolve your tactics around your opponent no matter who they are. You could have just about every star player in the world and still lose miserably to Kingstonian.
So thats put me off that.
Looked into Red Dead Revolver today and it looks like it doesn't even have a release date overseas let alone here. :-( Want that game !
I'll be picking up Zelda on Friday, so I'll take some more old games with me in case I spot anything I want on my new PS2. ;-))

Pro Evo 2 rules ! It is the best footie game ever !!!!
FF10 will have you gripped for hours, one of the best games you can get at the moment, still. Silent Hill 2 is very good, very cheap too.
Phew.
