Are there any GOOD pool/snooker games for PS2? You see, at the moment I can only seem to find Pool Master (Or whatever the hell it's called- it's still crap) and that's it. Are there any others?

Yep, got it on PC.
After my failure to find a decent PS2 snooker game I bought one of my mate for £2 for Psone.
And I might be getting a pool table soon anyway, so now I can save those 50p's instead of blowing £2.50 on pool every time I set foot in the pub.
Just got to do a bit of measuring up and I'm there!
Or buy Monkey Ball 2 on GC and spend an eternity playing Monkey Billiards.

But while a sport sim may be a less-hassle alternative to playing an active sport such as football, the amount of effort that goes into playing real pool isn't that much greater than the video game version.
Both the real game and computer game versions offer the same thing - a low effort bit of entertainment.
Still, unless you happen to have a pub pool table in your own house *dreams*, you have a vaild point on the going to the pub and paying thing.
Get this guy a purple name!
Sure, playing a pool game behind a screen is not the same as playing down the pub with your mates. Technically though, Virtual Pool games are every bit as good as the real game, to the extent that they actually make you a better player in real life. You use the mouse to feather the cue and set the speed; much easier than Virtual Pool 64 with the analogue stick.
Just like Nebuchan said, I don't have an unlimited supply of 50p coins. Therefore, when I fancy a quick game of pool and I am at home, I just load Virtual Pool 3 on my PC.
Plus, you'll barely drink while playing, so it'll save you money in the long run.
Then there's the possibility of putting pints on some of the games...
However, having played the fantastic Virtual Pool 64, where you controlled the movement of the cue in the shot with the perfectly positioned analogue stick and everything about the game was perfect in every way, I've come to the conclusion that however good a pool game is, it'll never come close to the real thing.
If you insist, go for a rental first.
Or save your money for a nice cue and a hard case (some evil, huge, witch sat on my old cue, which was in a soft case. Bent the shaft way out of line. Poor Michael Caine was beyond use. I've never had a cue I've loved enough to name since... :^D )
> Jus' go to the pub.
I do, but I don't have an unlimited amount of 50p's you know!
I just want a pool game so I can play something else rather than football games or driving games every night.

Isn't that kinda' like someone asking about any good football games, and me saying, "Just go to the local playing field"? Doesn't really answer the question does it?!
