Obviously, it is now my turn to feel ontop-of-the-world after recieiving my pre-ordered copy of The Wind Waker - and the bonus disc - through the post this morning -- thank you very much, Special Reserve! :D

I've been playing it all morning, since 10am, and I've only just within the last-10-minutes switched the power off, since then.
I should've probably gone to school, or there might have been something good on TV [YEAH RIGHT!!], but after Ocarina of Time, nothing's gonna get in my way of the latest Zelda game!!

My first impressions of this game are very good. Although, I can already see how this game is going to be rather simple and easy. And I'm quite sure it won't be too long before I tire of travelling everywhere on boat.

But the action's great, and the Link's swordsmanship has vastly improved since the 2 N64 titles. It feels fantastic stringo a combo. of slashes together, knocking the enemy back for miles! :D
Shame there's no Navi/Tatl to tell you what's-what, though.

The graphics do look fantastic - as you should expect, by now.
Some nice "fresh"-sounding sound effects in there too, as well as some good reworkings on old classic Zelda tunes.

I like that Battleships-style game you can play, and that store owner who puts his face inside those cut-outs.... Certainly made me laugh! :)
Don't like "snotty", though... What's he up to?
And why can't you use your sword on that gang of kids that chases you around?!
Good to see you can hit the pigs though. ...Untill they go 'ape' fight back!
But I'm still not sure at how the actual Wind Waker works...?
I also found moving Link around quite 'different' to what it felt like in the N64 games. Good control system, though.

But where's Zelda this time??

It's certainly enjoyable, and like almost any-other Zelda game, this is gonna be one I won't want to be finished anytime-soon!
I wouldn't call it an "Ocarina of Time-beater"...
But it feels just as good to play - just because it's Zelda!

I'm happy. And I probably won't touch the bonus disc for months!
Looks like Metroid Prime will also be going un-finished, while this is around! :)
