My m8s PS2 has broken down for the 5th time and he's finnaly realised how crap it is, but he's decided to buy a X-Box instead of a Gamecube, so how can I convince him that a gamecube is way better??? You see he's just buying a X-box because every1 in my school says the cube is crap. So help me out here... plz :-)

If your, ahem, m8, was a real gamer he'd want a Gamecube.
It doesn't matter about a false image that people have about the system being childish and for kids, it's about the great games on offer, and compared to Xbox, the GC is streets ahead.

I've had my Gamecube since launch and have loved playing some of the best games of recent years (Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Resident Evil remake and Resi Zero, Monkey Ball 1 & 2 etc) and there are some fantastic titles to come (Mario Kart, Final Fantasy, Pilotwings, Metal Gear Solid, Mario 128 blah blah blah). But, since I've had my Xbox, I've only bought a few games. I got one before last Christmas with Halo, Splinter Cell, Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT for free with the console, and have since only got TOCA and Dead or Alive volleyball because of the lack of killer apps the system has.

If your friend wants to make a foolish decision to buy an Xbox just because it may seem cooler than the Gamecube or becuas eit plays DVDs, then let them make the wrong choice as they probably deserve everything they get. But if they want gaming gold, tell them to forget the GC misinformation about it being for kids, because of all three consoles, Nintendo's is by far the best.

And for that short period of time when he had no mate, he could learn the correct spellings of "m8", "Every1" and "plz"
