I've recently purchased a GC, purely for the Zelda games, but would like some recommendations for older games which I know nothing about and will have missed please.

My gaming preferences are for games like Zelda and the Final Fantasy Series on PS2. I loved Mario on the N64 so will be getting Mario Sunshine. I like the freedom of running around and solving puzzles.

Go easy on the purse but any suggestions on games I would probably like from the back catalogue would be much appreciated.

Skies of Arcadia is up there with the very best Final Fantasies... most have the opinion its better than all but FF7 :-)

Heh. Besides Zelda, Luigi's, Pikmin and MB2 are the only games I have.

I guess I have the best then :-D

I really enjoyed Luigi's Mansion. It's quite simplistic, but really fun whilst it lasts.

If you're into strategy and puzzles, Pikmin is great too.

Both these games are now 'Players Choice', so should be more affordable.

Monkey Ball (1 0r 2) also cannot be overlooked.

You might enjoy Pikmin, it's a brilliant game, quite unlike anything you've probably ever played. Biggest bonus is you can pick it up for £20 in the players choice range, also check out Luigi's Mansion.

If ya like Horror games you may wanna check out Eternal Darkness and the Resident Evil games.

Another great series is Monkey Ball, good puzzley type games. Think Marble Madness but with Monkeys in Balls and a load of mini games.

Some people will recommend Starfox Adventures, it's very much like a scaled down version of a Zelda game. Myself I didn't really enjoy it but if you haven't played any Rare games before you may wanna give it a whirl.

Oh.

How about Tiger Woods 2003? An excellent "chill out" game, great in single and multiplyer. You will not be disappointed.

Metroid Prime, because it really is a lovely game. If you get a Freeloader and Animal Crossing from dvdboxoffice.com on import (it's cheaper than most normal priced UK games) you can enjoy some free roaming loveliness for a long time.

Great!!

I already know about this game and intend to get it - when it is released.

My query is for games previously released.
