Got a text message, it say's: URGENT! This is our 2nd attempt to contact U. Last weekends draw shows that U have won a £1000 prize! CALL NOW 09066388300 toclaim.T&Cswww.txtm.tv150ppm

I'm a bit suspicious. I don't remember entering a draw for a £1000 (though I've been entering a few competition's, recently). Some foolhardy member go to the address and check it's legibility out for me. I'm not an idiot, I know I haven't won a grand, but... it would be nice. Still, false hope, the corporations biggest seller.

You think you've had it hard?

Every single bloody day, I get at least one (maybe as many as 5) emails a day from the Hotmail Delivery System saying that a message that I sent couldn't be delivered and has been returned to me, but I never sent any of the messages. I don't even know the addresses it refers to! So Iwent looking around on the internet and I think I can safely conclude that Hotmail servers have been infected by a virus, judging by teh characteristics of the messages. I just blocked the address.

I'm almost always "Todays Lucky Random Winner!". Almost everytime I come on to the net or go on to Kazaa that pop up box comes up and says I should claim my prize. I've won some many times I just ignore it now...not that I ever even tried to claim it in the first place.

It's hoax.
Read something about it not too long ago, and it gives money at something like 5 quid a second, without you knowing. But it doesn't come from your mobile phone credit.
And if loads of people stay on the line for about 30 secs, then, well, think how much they'd get.
Ignore it.

I do... normally. It's my girlfriends birthday in a couple of weeks, though, and I can't get her much on what I'm getting now. Oh, well, more money for videogames:D

Notice it say's U. I think this has been done not to save space but to make the prize void (I'm not called U). Or something. That's what Media studies does to you, makes you a cynic.
