Okay, I've just got into the wind(?) temple (with the leaf guy).

I can't be arshed.

I'm literally in the first room (which I've not looked at yet), the whole temple awaits me. Last time I played I went out to collect some charts and stuff. Just delaying the inevitable.

'What is the inevitable?' you ask?

Yet another dungeon with no challenge, the same old puzzles and nothing to hold my interest.

I see how the dungeons would be harder for people who'd not played much zelda before, but for me it's just not a challenge. Puzzles are obvious, ememies are feeble, it feels like a chore, jumping through the game's hoops.

Don't get me wrong, most of the game is great, pleanty of new stuff to discover, loads of things to do. I just can't bring myself to play the next dungeon. I DON'T CARE.

Ah well, at least it won't drag me away from my revision now. Maybe I'll leave the Wind Waker and get into Ura Zelda...

No, I was getting bored because I was playing on it for two hours straight. The dungeons are much easier than OoT though.

And don't compare it to Starfox Adventures... we shall forget it like the sexiest woman in the world with no brain. (ie a manikin).

I know what you mean about those dungeons in The Wind Waker.

They seem great at first, when you first step inside. But that's just because the whole thing is new to you, and you're getting used to a new world that seems nothing like that of Ocarina of Time - and it isn't.
Some parts are quite enjoyable, but it's all way too easy - and it kind of reminds me of Starfox Adventures in a way (...shouldn't that be the other way around!?).

But everything else is great - espeially those little 'mino-games'.
And even the sea-venturing can become quite enjoyable (in comparisson with the first few dungeons anyway).

But is it really because they ARE that damn easy?
Or is it because we persist in comparing thise game with the epic Ocarina of Time??

I'm not really sure...

I'm still stuck on getting Makar out of the cage. Apparently, I have to be as heavy as the Deku Tree to remove the statue in front blocking the cell... the iron boots right? Nope, just a slow moving Link. I've switched off the GC now, getting bored from all the temples.

Playing through the Wind temple is great for one thing alone (I'm going through at the moment):

****Spoiler****

Throw Makar into the big coloumn of air produced by that mahoosive fan (Just after you get the Hookshot). He'll fly up on his own. Wait about 10 seconds, and laugh as he falls from way up.

Damn funny.

I've done it twice already. When yiou grapple the wooden branch on the way to the entrance, if you don't hold R to stop Link from swinging, he goes straight in.

How on earth would you manage that?

Whenever you visit the Forest Haven later (say to get a firefly), on the way to the Deku tree there's a good chance Link will grapple hook into the secret room. Which is truly annoying.

Maybe, if you were to, say, look above at the large grapple bit, you might work it out?

I found it by accident before and tried in vain to get into the one next to it, and failed.
