They're both driving games, both fun (albeit in different ways).
Frankly, all Mario Kart is looking like at this stage is a graphical update with some new tracks, whereas GT4 is going online and getting an AI overhaul.

Reeling off names of games that have only been announced and had a few screens shown doesn't make the Gamecube better. Ico, Rez, Amplitude, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, GTA, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, Dance Dance Megamix, Pro Evolution Soccer...the PS2 has the biggest library of great games now, FACT. And there are as many coming its way as the GC and Xbox have.
