"I have it, I finally have it"

And lo, it is good. In fact, it's the most blinding game I think I've ever played. I'm talking of course, about the wonder of Grand Theft Auto 3. If youhaven't already got it, then buy it (unless you're a youngster). Top moments so far:

Finding some Docks and a massive boat at about half 12 last night, which I didn't notice for about 5 hours.
Stealing an Ambulance and driving it up a ramp, landing it on a Paramedic, treating the man I just beat up.
The 'street race' mission.
The insane stunt bonuses.
Joe Pantoliano doing a voice.
Running over everyone.
Stealing a bloke's car, then having him run up beside me, pull me out and steal it back. Git.

Seriously, I expected it to be good, but I never expected it to be so flipping massive, I could spend hours not touching any of the missions. The best game I have played in ages, go get it, even if you haven't got a PS2, buy both - it's worth every penny.

I did 3 attempts and that was my best time.
You pull off an insane, slow motion insane stunt thing, and I landed on my roof.
The SWAT and FBI unloaded into the car, I had to get out.
Twice I got busted immediately, and the last time I stopped many bullets with my face

No, you're wary of getting your wanted rating too high.

The funniest mission so far for me?
Staunton Island - When you have to get the informant in the ambulance.
Shoot it enough and he falls out the back, completely wrapped in plaster-cast, unable to move in the middle of the road.

And you have to either run him over until his cast cracks and he dies, or chuck a grenade onto him and run away quickly.

A helpless man, unable to move, waiting for you to finish him off.

Yeah, same here.
So I got a flatbed truck and rolled through their area, shooting them to pieces before driving away again, laughing like a goon.

Stupid Colombians.
But wow, those Triads really hold a grudge eh?

And YH, if you want an endurance test?

Go to the multi-story on Island 2 near your hideout.
Go up to the top, stand at the edge and start shooting the people below.
Eventually a helicopter turns up, shoot it down with the rocket launcher and keep doing that.
I managed 3 choppers and a wanted rating of 5 stars.

The cops can't come up the ramp to the top so you're safe there.
When your rating is nice is high? Take a car and leap off the ramp for an insane stunt bonus.
When you land?
Police, FBI and SWAT teams waiting to take you down.

I managed 7 seconds.

Why is it that the columbians hate you as soon as you arrive on Staunton? I'd not even shot one of them, yet whenever i go past they try and take me out :-(

Its not marked on the map, but you can still do the street race. Just go to the same phone box and it should have the wierd blue swirly thingy..
