With it's lovely slick body and the it's name smileing at you if you have the playstation 2 everyone would want to play on it, but it would be your own property, and even a new member of the family to sit on it's own shelf to show it's power, the playstion 2 was mine!
In this part tell me about how you got your Playstion 2, when it was born a new member to your family!
I read in the paper a while later that the PS2 was taking preorders on the coming thursday (tuesday) and i was over my financial troubles and was saving for a new PC. I saw this and the next day I booked the friday (couldnt get the thursday) off so I could get a preorder. I drove round about 7 retailers looking for a preorder. Found one in the end, and got my PS2 on launch day, with SSX.
Nicely enough, because I was saving for a PC, I had loads of cash left over, and bought a new telly too.

Mine was a similar situation... I had just been to the bank to increase my over draught to buy a new stero and bro's bday pressie and while I was standing out side of HMV, a small bloke was putting a sign up above my head saying "PS2's in stock"... I was a sign, divine intervention, so in I strolled with Visa in hand, 2 mins later... out I came with my little box of joy!!
Spooky... we share the same desinty, though only 13 days out of sync!!
I strolled out of there and returned a few minutes later with £300 cash in hand, slammed it on the counter and said to the nice lady "Oh, I think you know!"
She scuttled off, then returned with my pal PS2!
Grand :-)
I was actually shopping for my little brothers 21st birthday present and got slightly side tracked... Ran round to tell the wife of my awesome purchase and rushed home to play RR5 and Timesplitters... Didn't get my brother anything in the end either!!
I bought my PS2 from argos cus they were the only ones with any pre-order forms left, didn't get it till december something, worth the wait though :-)
