"Shame on you Nintendo!"

I have heard from a reliable source that the GameCube's release date may be put back until sometime next September. If my calculations are correct, that means that the X-Box will have a whole half year head start, and the PS2 will be TWO YEARS ahead. To be honest, the PS2 hasn't done much games-wise yet(forgive me, GT3, GTA3 and SSX fans), and the X-Box won't have much support in Japan, this doesn't matter too much, but it is still a fair way off, and with games like MGS2 and Max Payne in the console pipeline, it seems as if Nintendo will lose the next-gen console battle. What are your thoughts on this piece of news?

Nintendo have sold nearly all their stock due to pre-ordering, not just from their own site, but from literally every site that is offering pre-orders. It is confirmed that huge firms such as WallMart, the biggest supermarket chain in the world (And many others), have actually asked Nintendo to push their estimated stock limit up by another 200 000 units, becuase of fear that they will run out - I repeat - RUN OUT! A Nintendo fella said that this would be impossible to produce so much more in such a short space of time. If that's not higly anticipated, then I don't know what is. Apart from the GBA, the PS2 didn't do quite as well as that. And it's obvious that the X-box will certainly not do that good.

Still, it would have been better if they had a few more launch games in Japan. I think Luigi's Mansion is the only GC game in the all-format top ten sales chart.

True, but latest sources show that sales are picking up dramatically lately, because more and more local punters have become aware of the machine's arrival onto their shelves. I believe that sales figure will increase so far to the point where the rating of the launch will rise to, say: Excellent, above average sales.

In America, the launch straight-off will be tremendous. Nintendo are extremely confident in this. I believe they will take the USA by storm. That's what I think.

Oh yeah, in 4 minutes, too. Compared to the X-box's pathetic 30 minutes (400 000 or less).

I think, TB - you need to get your facts straight. X-box being the most anticipated console is probably the biggest mistake you're ever likely to make.

Oh, and I didn't say the GameCube was the most anticipated console ever, I said it was MY most anticipated console ever - not the worlds!

You'd be surprised, considering that, erm, what were the figures again? Oh yeah, 600 000 GameCubes have all ready been pre-ordered in America. Which is more than the PS2 can say, me thinks. Highly anticipated? I think: YES!

Most anticipated console ever? Very unlikely. I'd say that crown goes to the GBA, PS2 or Xbox.

I'm pritty sure its still a March release, but the launch games aint nothing soecial anyway. they never are really with any console.

IT's a release date for my most anticipated console ever, dammit! I NEEEEEED to know when it's going to be release, or I'll the hat that I've been holding.

Does anyone have any idea about when the Australians will have their stock of GameCubes? Because when they do, the won't know what's hit 'em.
