I have just ordered 2 Region 1 DVD's. I have my PS2 which I am getting a region changer for and I have my 16x Pionner DVD drive for my PC. I use Power DVD and have used it too watch PSW free DVD's. It automatically set the region to 0. Will the reion 1 DVD's work on this region as its a free region. Also do on my DVD drive I have 5 DVD region changes left. I havent set up a region yet or changed it. Using Power DVD gets passed the DVD drive region doesnt it?

RCE= Region coding enhansment
basicly means that some DVDs will not play on some multi region players
check the back of your DVDs and it should say if it has RCE endcoding.
or if you buy your region 1 DVDs from play247 then they will tell you that the DVD has the RCE encoding.
its basicly to try stop people importing DVDs to make them pay the insane prices we have to pay over here in the dumb UK

no because the psw dvds are region free thats why it changes to region 0
but you can find patches to make your pc region free

I'm trying to find a decend cheap (sub 200? - definitly sub 300) multi-region DVD player...
Alrthough, some people have been talking about multi-region and RCE as different things... and then Amazin.COM has been saying that Waner and Universals Enhanced RCE doesnt work on all multi regions?
Whats does any of that mean?
