[Captain's Log: 10/03/04 - Day of the Edit Post Feature]
[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
And what's more, no-one seems to have noticed today's date - possibly down to the fact that the 1 year Anniversairy of 9/11 was 2 days ago.
I'd forgotten how great Smash Bros. Melée was untill last night.
Got back into it again now, and THPS3 keeps getting easier and easier for me!
I WILL try and get back to me N64 soon.....
"This server is too busy."
That's just plain lazy.
Or something to that effect.
It used to represent what was great about the web - free, good quality, services.
Now it's representing the greed of microsoft - plugging their pay package, cutting resources to us freeloaders, and when i tried to sign up for a new account (the old one over-run by junk mail), it took about 5 minutes to find the tiny, non-self-explanatory link at the bottom of a scrolled down page that actually let you into the free account, instead of registering to pay.
Still, there are pleanty of other free e-mail servers out there. Maybe microsoft's greed will serve only to turn people away from them?
On another note, must stay awake until 6.30
Bored out of my mind, want to sleep, must stay awake...
Just checked the order status on my copy of resi, and it's gone. Hopefully i'll have it tomorrow, saturday at latest.
Only problem is that i'm supposed, for the first time in far too long, to be going out tomorrow night. And being a big lamer, i'm torn between that and staying in to play resi all night.
Plus i'll be busy in the day.
Might even work out better if it does arrive on saturday...
Still, either way, i won't have to wait for ever to get my copy ¦^D
Not been for ages though. Just over a week until we start again too. I move into my room for next year on sunday though.
Fortunately for me, my summer has all been crap, so it won't be sad to go back at all. Except that i'll have to get up at normal times and do some work for a change.
Still, over the past month and a half, doing nothing productive with my time and living on a shoestring budget, i feel adequately qualified to say that i'd be quite happy living on the dole for a good few years after uni :^D
Anyone want to buy a telly?
Just had the best day of my holiday and I'm back to uni at the weekend!
Met up with a bunch of mates I ain't seen in 2 years and went to Pizza Hut n bowling.
At the bowling alley there was this DJ guy who kept making offers for bottles of champagne. First he said, anyone who gets a Turkey (3 strikes in a row) gets a bottle. Then later he said the next three ppl to get a strike will have the chance of winning a bottle. I just happened to get a strike so I went up to the desk. He goes pick one of these blow up bottles (3 to chose from), and one has a smiley face on the bottom. I picked the right one and won a bottle.
Then later on the DJ's walking around the alley asking people if they can say how many their gonna knock down and get that many, they'll win a bottle. Well he comes up to me and goes "How many you gonna get down then?" I said "I'm gonna get a STRIKE!" And wayhey I did. Won another bottle.
Then it got to frame 8 and got another strike. Frame 9 another. Just one more for a turkey. Boom! Another strike! Followed by a half-strike! One of my mates went up to say I got a turkey and did I get another bottle. He said only if I opened it there and drank it there. But we had to go so we didn't. PAHH! Still not bad considering it only cost me £1.50 for the game.
But this was the best time I've had all holiday and now I've gotta go back to uni. Life's so unfair!
:)
p.s. finished the game on 165. Would have been more but the machine knacked up while i was playing and counted one of my strikes as a half-strike! grrr-argh!

It's where you, say, pay for a game, and then cancel it. You have the option of getting a refund or changing it for a new game.
:)
Also, when I preordered my Cube, the price droppped at a later date (as you know) and SR refunded me the refund, into my account.
:)
