I'm having second-thoughts about choosing a GBA SP+games for my Birthday at the end of March, after hearing that you can get used cars (fairly decent ones too -- for first-cars, anyway) for as little as £300, with only the Insurance to be paid ontop of that!
OK, so I might only end up with a crippled little G-reg Ford Fiesta or something, but at least it'll be MINE, and it'll be cheap, too!
But I suppose I'd better start learning to drive first though...
My Provisional License should arrive within the next 10-days, I reckon, so as soon as that comes, I go!
I've set myself a challenging goal of having done all my lessons AND passed both tests by the end of May!
Shouldn't really be too-hard, as I have way-too-much free-time on my hands now that I'm only really doing one of my two courses at school.
I'll need my own car by the end of the summer, especially if I do get into a college somewhere to get some more A-levels and add them to my ONE... if A-levels still exist then....
And my Birthday's only 3-days-after the GBA SP's current UK launch, so it may not be that likely that I'd recieve one on-time anyway.
Have you guys heard about this new approach to GCSE's and A-levels?
Apparently, you will no longer HAVE to do a modern language at GCSE!
And both Plumbing and Hairdressing will emerge as new courses, along with a few A-level ones like Business Studies - I wonder how many young kids will want to become plumbers after playing Mario?! :)
