> Im now of the hunt for the golden shard triangle pieces. woo!.
Heh, that part is so boring.
Anyway, Solskjær, I did complete Metroid, but that was after leaving it for a month or two after getting quite far. I think I did the same with Starfox Adventures, but I completed that faster so I could sell it ;)
And it was the same last-time I failed, also.
No-one had to say anything, but I just felt better 'doing something'; 'being somewhere' other than on my own.
What's more, I onl have to wait until lunchtime on Tuesday 10th February before I take it again. Although that may sound like a long time, it isn't really as bad as I thought it would be - given that my instructor will soon be 'unavailable' until 5th January for lessons, anyway.
But yes, I will keep trying for Cancellations, anyway. But I'm feeling a lot better about it all, just from going to work.... :o
Speaking of Cancellations, there were - incredibley - TWO available at the test-centre for next week!! But, wouldn't you know it, I can't do them because they're within the 10-day period of my last test! :(
However, I'm still hopeful, for some reason....
I don't really know why being at work has made such a difference...
After all, it's not like anything special happened or anything.
After something we all heard `her´ say, and something `he´ said back, it is now clear to me that she still has some feelings for Muppet [he really is an IDIOT for not being interested back!!], and that she couldn't be that-interested in me, even if we did go-out. According to another colleague, it really "made her day".
So, that's over with (for the time being...). But again, I don't feel 'bad' about it! I'm not upset or anything! I just feel... normal.
And because of my 're-improved mood', I've gone back on what I said the other day, and WILL be going to the Christmas Party (as it's likely this will be my last-chance to). Haven't a clue what I'll be wearing (as I haven't bought it yet!!) but I will ask "for her company" on the way TO the party, at least. And, although I do still have feelings for her, 'knowing the truth', I think, should make it a lot easier to ask her.
I don't know what she felt for me during the Summer - And I don't want to know, right now. Maybe it was to try and "distract" herself from him? Maybe she just fancied "a bit of fun"??
What I do know, though, is that another young female at work appears to have been acting quite friendly to me, lately....! :o ;D
So what if it's Muppet's other "Ex" - she's damn fit!! :D
...And that reminds of another fine youngster I saw in the test-centre the other day... She was nice! So nice, infact, that when she was called over to the other side of that "compact" waiting-room to start her test, I got a very nice view, indeed!! ;D
But no, I later found-out I wouldn't have been interested, anyway. No, her 3-point-turn was "borderline-terrible"! I gave-way to her on the third-part, and as slowly as she went, I still don't know how she managed to miss the kirb!! I doubt she passed...
All the Arrrse, but none of the Brains, I reckon! :)
Just out of interested, what did you do with Metroid Prime?
I got that game on its release, but got bored, 2 months later, and haven't touched it since. Just wondering, as a lot of people seem to get bored of this one...
And yes, `The Wind Waker´ was superb while it lasted. It may not have been as-great as `Ocarina of Time´, but it's still ``Zelda´´ - and that's all that counts! :)
That I have finally completed The Wind Waker
*bows*
I got it on release, played right up to the Triforce Shard Collection bit, got particularly bored, and left it up till December. The past few days I went round finishing off a few things like collecting the shards, upgrading my bow quiver and getting heart pieces (I have 18 Heart Containers overall).
Zelda, I find, is one of those games that you play in phases, not really sure why...maybe because it's so long. Anyhow, always satisfying to complete and it was a truely great game. The Cell Shading is fantastic :D
I've bought a bunch of junk to make my pool cue case. I have some plywood with just a little character to one side of the wood, and a bunch of screws, higes and lockable catches.
Plus, I got a 'staff only' sign for the front of the case.
Let the cheap pun-down begin! :^D
Just need the fabric bits for the lining and straps and I'll have everything...
Other news, and my sister drinks petrol.
That's the only expaination. Every time she uses the car, however much is in there, the low fuel warning light is on next time someone drives it. She complains that she puts petrol in. Last time someone pressed her on how much she put in. After avoiding answering for half an hour, she admitted "£3"
Pishes me off, as everyone else ends up paying for the vast quantities she uses.
Have you booked the next test yet? I don't know where you live, but if you want to take it in Newcastle Under Lyme (Stoke on Trent / Hanley area) you could probably get one very fast (when I booked they had tests available from the next day, and every day after that!). Might be worth doing it. There are a lot of roundabouts (and probably a lot of crap drivers) and an awkward one-way bit, but I think you could get through, if you took some time to drive around before the test.
If you do though, there's one roundabout with a couple of one-way roads leading into it, so there are roads that look like exits, execpt for the no entry sign. You just have to look out for the signs, but it caught me out while I was driving the way to the test centre! (I remembered for the test tough :^) )
Ah well, in a way it's an important lesson - don't fully trust other road users, they make mistakes and do stupid things.
Just a shame you had to learn it like that...

Heh, I remember there were 200 Stars on the last day...
Damn shame it isn't being repeated
