[Captain's Log: 10/03/04 - Day of the Edit Post Feature]
[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
No, I haven't taken a second-shot at Ramirez and the Silver Gigas, though.
Instead, I've taken these many extra hours to try and boost my characters' Levels further, and past the 50 mark (just to be extra careful). But, while Vyse, Aika and Fina are now on 47, having forgotten I could select him before, Cap'n Drachma's still only on 40.
Aside from making more money, spending more money, and generally, making more discoveries around the world, I've knocked another 2 of the Wanted List.
Last night, it was that "Loose Cannon Loopy"-bloke's turn, when I met up with him again on Sailor's Island, and, finally, kicked his backside! ;D
I was dissapointed to recieve only 5,000 for that bounty, though... :(
However, all was made up for when I nailed Vyze, Anita and Faina, one-by-one this morning, all for a cool 20k! :D
I've even met up with that "Angel of Death" woman twice, and wiped the floor with her both times!
I seem to be getting good at this game, narrowing things down like this... ;)
I used up all 10 of my Captain's Stripes and I'm sure my new-found levels of health will come in handy, next time I meet Zelos. Ignoring that Lord Bane bloke, I'd like to try and find the other 2 bounties I need first, though. Both of which, I cannot find, however.
There's the one from Yafutoma who rides a Golden Ship (around by the Ice place, apparently) and those Ixa'Takan women after handsome men.
Hmmm....
Somewhere in the North, I also found a giant blue Squid in the sky, and - literally - blew his legs off. Then, high-above Ixa'Takan country, I found a giant, hungry winged bird and sent him crash-landing below the clouds.
Also in that area, I found another "lookout" for my crew, at the highest point in the village.
Oh, and anyone else tiring/wanting more from this game, search for an island high-in-the-sky somewhere towards the South East coast - that'll make you laugh! Basically, it's full of loads of those creatures like the one little Maria has, who you feed the Moonfish to. And, one of them...
Well, you'll just have to see for yourself! ;D

My characters were around 50 when I completed the game, so I'd imagine yours would be fine. You really don't need tons of stuff or to spend or your money on Sacrum/Sacrulen Crystals, of course you need a good stock, but 30 or so is all. Same with Complete Kits for the Delphinus, I took about 30 in with me. During the Hydra and Zelos battles I was healing probably two out of three rounds just to be safe. The Hydra battle is pretty long so I just didn't want to have to restart.. Keep going, you're almost there.
Do you really need to be on a "High" level to win this?
My characters (Vyse, Aika, Fina and Gilder) are in the 40s... Is that gonna be high enough? I don't really want to go all-the-way-back unless you really feel I need to, being experienced in beating the game, and all... :P
I've still got around 130,000 Gold left to spend, I think... Perhaps it would be a good idea for me to go back-out and spend it all first - and I do seem to remember collecting, but also not using, the Captain's Stripes at some point, also. :)

On a seperate note, we've had some superb weather these last few days, haven't we! :) (That is, of course, until I woke up this morining to all this rain and misery... - yet, it's still warm. :( )
I've been told by someone that I am possibly the only person he knows who hasn't hit their own car after having just passed their test...
Well, in a way, that changed on Sunday evening - when I "removed" the cheap Ford wheel trim from the front nearside of my Escort on the way to playing football!! :S
The car's fine (even though some of it could do with a clean...). All I lose was the trim - the same one my dad hit trying to U-turn in a cul-de-sac entrance, the very first time I went out for a drive in my car, over a year ago. I was thinking of buying some "better" ones when my confidence gets good, anyway! ;)
There are some VERY minor 'scratches' on the left-side of the bumper, but I seemed able to rub them off with my hand...?
It was lucky I only hit a plastic post, though - what the heck one of those was doing so far across the road in the first place, though... I do not know (bloody "work"-men and their road-"works")!!
It shook me up quite a bit and, from the sound alone, you'd have thought I'd taken the side of my car off or something! All it's done to me now, I'm sure, is to have only increased my awareness of the nearside.
I could've done a lot worse...
Three-or-four weeks after passing his test, another mate of mine wrote-off his joint-Christmas Present Metro!! :S

Did you use your Captain's Stripes ?
The ones you get after winning each sky battle, which increase the Max HP of your ship.
I forgot about them first time through the game, I remember one morning, around 9 am, after a long night of Skies (how time flies!), taking on Zelos for the first time(s), without having used my captain's stripes.
On the third go I just managed it, and went on to kick Ramirez's ass (thank bob I'd forgotten to change crew from Guilder to Drachma - Silver Nightmare could have been so much worse!)
But next time around I used the Stripes, and those big attacks weren't so bad, not with 'safe' use of repair stuff.
Oh, and I recommend Incr*cough*m (increase attack power) some time before the moon cannon.
And the silece spell too - it'll cut out loads of potential damage.
I don't think the weaken the other guy's attack spell (yellow) worked on Zelos though, if memory serves..
