I think perhaps the moral of the post is that you should persuade Duck into a full time Love Assistant role, Sols.

Heh. She can probably tell you had lost interest (these things come across very clearly on the more subtle/subconscious levels), and being quite insecure and basing her self-esteem on the approval of men (at a guestimate), found herself flirting with you to win back your interest.
I think the way to succeed with a girl like this would be to engage her in conversation and stuff a lot, without showing her that you want her. Not even in the subtlest of body language if possible.
Or at least don't go so far out of your way to be 'nice' and 'helpful' (all the traditional things women tell men they like, but actually seem not to find particularly attractive).
Then she finds herself thinking about you, and wanting you to show some kinf of interest/attraction to her, like everyone else does. Being around her a bit (but not too much, so it doesn't look like you're going out of your way to be around her) will help plant the seed.
So, she finds herself wanting you to be attracted to her, making a bit of an effort to flirt with you or whatever, which eventually builds into trying to 'pull' you, and her feelings (thinking about you, in the context of attraction) merge into attraction to you.
That's quite a bit of speculation, and it'd be easier said than done, but it's a change to conspiracy theories :^)
Despite all the above, I still think you don't need her, and really don't need to get strung along by her. Sounds like you agree too.

I've still got 2 Bounties and 20-odd Discoveries to go back for (aswel as some of those giant monster-things), but that can all wait, as I've really neglected everything else GameCube, because of this.
As for work, while I'm sure I heard office-workers talking about 'the incident' earlier, the victim seems quite good about it, like she's getting on with things, having put it all behind her or sorted it somehow...
It's such a pain, since this same guy is the one I could soon be working for... I haven't said 'yes' yet - because I still might go elsewhere - but, he's acting like it's only a matter of weeks before I start there. :P Ah, well. At least I know the offer's there if I need it :)

She does seem to have matured an awful lot over the last year, and it really wouldn't surprise me if half the things said about her where vastly over-exagerrated...
Sod it. I'm single, and I'm reasonabley happy right now (despite having suffered from "Post Holiday Depression" the last few weeks). I have things to do and sort out for myself right now that must come first! :I

Hopefully it'll fix that stupid thing the last driver update I got off Windows Update did. Made all movies played in Media Player almost black and white, except looking quite blue and any white bits being really bright. Tiss strange and I can't seem to fix it, or uninstall the darn update. Stupid Microsoft!
