[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
Just thought I'd check in while I have the chance. Everyone okay?
Going to apply for a job in a minute, so I can stack shelves to make ends meet :^(
Ah well, at least it gets me out of the house, now I've been kidnapped by Cooky. Who'd have thought you could have a cellar in a third floor flat? :^S
I also saw I, Robot for the first time last night (via. one of my dad's 'Pirate' DVDs). And, I must say, much like many people seem to, I've been quite surprised by how much this film DIDN'T just frustrate and annoy me, like so-many Will Smith films seem to do.
Aside from the visual effects even, I must say it bears a lot of resemblence to the Matrix trilogy. The whole idea behind human's relying too heavily on machine, and then, the machine resisting...
(Then again, I suppose that's a view shared by so-many now, with their thoughts and ideas of 'Life in the Future'...)
I thought the bit where she didn't know how to use a stereo system manually was really clever, though.
Also, what's happened to Will Smith's voice?
I know he's gotten older; but not that older...
He sounds so deep now, he could be the bottom of the ocean, or something....

My god, that's a long time!!!

Think I'm going to get a new computer soon. This one is holding me back... and it isn't even mine. This is the misses's, my computer being a 400MHz P2, with a Voodoo 3 in it! Quality machine... Can you beleive I actually managed to complete a Computer Games Programming degree using it!?!
Been looking at a Athlon 64 3200, 1GB RAM, 256MB gfx card, 200GB HD, for £850 which is looking quite tempting. Think I might try and pick it up soon. Just NEED some money!
:)

My attempt at an ambient drum n bass track.

Was trying to create the effect of a journey through the ocean, with the bit on the surface at the start, diving down etc etc
Wanted the dolphin in the middle bit to be animated, but that was a bit much asking from the program I guess.
Was only 5mins long, which is alright for the style of music I was going for. Decent DnB tracks are normally minimum of 5mins, tiss only repetative POP-esk stuff that repeats itself for 3mins and then finishes.
:)
Where on Earth have you been all this time?
lololol-ing away somewhere, I expect.
:)
