[Captain's Log: 10/03/04 - Day of the Edit Post Feature]
[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
I remember setting off for an open day for a Uni once, but terrential downpore soon came which was sooo bad you pretty much couldn\'t see the end of the bonet. Then the engine had some problem, so my mum though it was best to pull into a garage, have a quick check and then turn back. So, never did end up seeing that Uni, can\'t even remember which one it was...
Oh well, life has turned out well in the end, as long as this job starts paying me soon!!!
:)
I woke up relatively early this morning and left at about nine. In theory it should have taken an hour and a half to get there, which would have left us in pretty good stead to go on the tour at 11.05. This should have been followed by lunch at 12.15 and then the beginning of the talks at 12.50. This is where the fun began, after getting stuck in traffic in Stoke for ages we would have been pretty lucky to get into Machester for 11.05. We finally arrived in Manchester city centre ( the location of the Uni ), and just as we were about to pull into the Car park we noticed a huge queue eminating from it, and we couldnt join 'cus of a stupid cross hatched area. So we were forced to drive round so we could properly enter the queue. Except, that didnt quite go to plan and we got lost, bloody map didnt have half the street names on. We finally found our way back to the car park, and had to queue for half an hour for a space. We finally parked and it was now 12.50 and we werent even in the Uni yet. We legged it to where we were meant to be in the Computer Studies building, before being diverted by some wise-ass student to the totally wrong place. We made our way back to where we were meant to be by 1pm, having missed lunch and not having anything sice my bowl of cereal since breakfast.
Well that was the journey, now onto the interview. Thats the easy part. I was the first, went to this womans office and just talked for a while about AI and stuff. Twas good and was really shocked when she offered me a place on the spot. I left feeling really pleased, but had to endure another 2 hours of talks, and a tour. But I suppose it was worth it, and I wasnt thinking about how hungry I was. Then we had to come back again. Apart from getting a little lost again around the Uni, we made it back in just over 2 hours, and picked up a massive fish 'n' chips. So alls well that ends well.
> Hey dudes, got my Manchester Uni interview tomorrow. For any of you

:S Just realised, I\'ve been here nearly 5 yrs now!!!

But I guess it\'s what you get for going to bed at nearly 5 in the morning.
With all good reason mind... we were looking at cr@p on the internet! :D
Like a guy playing Mario tunes on the piano blind-folded; Dogs talking, and walking upright on their back two legs (because it only had two.... was quite disturbing that one)...

Then I was up even longer into the night(morning) trying to fill holes... \"holes\" I tell you! Damn Super-Uber-Random-Track Editor. It\'s the last elusive bit of the puzzle I need to solve, but I don\'t understand why it doesn\'t work.... gaaahhhh... will try and fix it again now.
...first... more toast...
