Thought I'd start this subject to see how people are getting on with GTA3 :-) Cause theres so much freedom in the game I've been wondering if anyone has pulled off any impressive ways of doing certain missions or had things cool that have happened while being chased around by the law.
I won't use the characters names and spoil the story for anyone who is looking forward to the game, but I think one of my best moments has to be the assassination outside the strip club in portland ;-) Had to avoid being seen by the guys bodyguards so i hid round the corner with grenade in hand. Of course timing was everything, the limo pulled up and the bodyguards started walking out and standing between the club entrance and the car. Dunno if its just me but i got a real adrenalin rush from it, the guards were heavily armed so screwing up would have ended with me wasted ;-)) Then out came my target, i waited right till he was half in the car then i flew out from round the corner and lobbed a grenade which killed half the guards and damaged the car, by this time other cars were all packed in the street, i threw another grenade which blew up 2 cars and set off a chain reaction of exploding cars which took the last of the guards, the limo and target and a bunch of civilians with it ! I then grabbed myself a taxi and got away ;-))
Another moment was during a chase in staunton island, I had police chasing me in a sports car, i turned into an area (right near the first employer you get in this area) where there were crates and stuff - and a nice inviting ramp for a jump ;-) I took the jump with the police car close behind - when it went to the outside view you could actually see the cop car right behind me :-) as soon as i landed i slammed on the brakes and just avoided going straight into the water, as i did this the police car, going fall speed has started to land on the rear of my car, gone straight over me and off the edge into the water ;-)) Got a nice cash boost for that !
Last one that comes to mind has to be the jump off the multi-storey car park ;-)

Securicars are the best, because other vehicles simply bounce off them, especially those light cop-cars!

Those FBI agents are mad!
Anyway, that army truck is great for doing missions where u gotta run another car of the road! its makes it proper easy!

Yeah I've helped myself to an army truck ;-) I think the Swat vans are pretty good too. Wish ice cream vans were more common - would be quite a laugh having the FBI and Military chasing you in an ice cream van everywhere ;-))
Of course the music would have to be played to add to the atmosphere of it all while you run people down ;-))
I like to grab an FBI car, not so much cause its anything wonderful, but when you consider how heavily armed the FBI are, its pretty rewarding to manage to grab one of their cars and cain it all over the streets.
Actually i got wasted once by the FBI but it was quite funny ;-)) I was running along trying to get another car, i turned around and lobbed a grenade, as i turned to run again, an FBI car slammed into me and i ended up on the roof of it ;-)) Ended up standing on it and i was like "hey ! surfs up !" me and my friend were laughing - well, until the 4 agents got out the car and all pointed their automatics up at me, my last words were "oh poo" but in a stronger use of words of course ;-))
After that they unloaded around 400 bullets into me and I was back outside the hospital ;-))

when i first got the sniper rifle i blew off the old guys head and blood went every where.
i've had GTA sinse launch day and it hasnt effected me one bit

Has anyone got in the army truck yet? Polics cars just bounce off it! You can get in the army barracks by either getting in a really fast car and jumping over the wall, or by getting in a tall car and climbing over it. Then head for the city centre and watch as the polics crash and burn trying to get you out!
well i work for the yardies in staunton island and they do not get on with the cartel people and i was minding my own business when i saw a yardie walking round and then batter a cartel person to death so i thought that was like real life so i lobbed a grenade @ a cartel truck it LANDED ON IT!!!! blew up and made the truck skid every way and eventually crash blowing up and i laughed.
