There's loads of free 3D packages on CDs in magazines. If you have broadband you can download gmax, which is pretty easy to start with. Oh, and Cinema 4D. May I add that my cow also has a black patch on it, in a swirly blob pattern. It also has ears.
I want to learn how to do 3D things on computers.....but at the moment I'm just doing painting and other times (had my GCSE exam two weeks ago + got A*s for my coursework)
So I guess that staring into the screen isn't moving any pointers then, Asher?
Art college is good... by the way, I can draw a pretty mean looking apple, with shading and light reflections. I can also render a 3D cow on Lightwave.

I do revise....but only when I need to. Anyway I gonna waste my life by going to Art college (I'm actually quite good).
If Ikaruga was a ground-breaking Nintendo game then, yes, I would consider it, but it's not - t's merely an above average run of the mill scrolling shoot em up.
