A very valid point. I'm getting my African nations all in a mess but to be fair, the flags are the same colours and I'm also a numpty.

Due to some games in this next prediction period not being available yet (due to games to be played) and the fact I am not in this weekend there are a few either/or ties. I would suggest you either leave these games, or take a guess at the most likely pairings for these. However, as before, you are able to edit these right up to kick-off if needed (or wait until late tonight/tomorrow morning to make the full predictions).

As we are now in the knock-out stages of the competition the rules need clarifying slightly:

Scorecasts are counted from the full-time whistle only:
- If a game only goes for 90 minutes, with a winner than this score is used
- If a game is level at 90 minutes and a winner is found in extra time, the score after 120 minutes is used
- If a game is level at 90 minutes AND 120 minutes and a winner is found on penalties the score after 120 minutes will be used (i.e. a draw)

Penalties make no changes to the score of a match for the purpose of this game:
- For example, if England beat Germany on penalties after drawing 1-1 AET the score is 1-1 NOT 2-1 to England

Results are decided on who goes through, or out:
- If you predict a draw with your score, specify a winner on penalties!

Predictions for 2nd Round June 26-29th

Saturday 26th
Uruguay v South Korea (15:00)
USA v Ghana (19:30)

Sunday 27th
Germany v England (15:00)
Argentina v Mexico (19:30)

Monday 28th
Netherlands v Slovakia (15:00)
Brazil v Chile (19:30)

Tuesday 29th
Paraguay v Japan (15:00)
Spain v Portugal (19:30)
