Yes..

T'is true.

I can see the game slowly degrading on the screen, Mainly cause the disc is very very grubby.

Point of topic?

Good disc cleaning methods please.

If you ever buy a preowned game from Gamestation - ask to see the disc - if they've used their cleaning machines you'll notice a repeated circular pattern all around the disc.

Also, if you buy a PSX game that has gone through this process, it may look slightly faded too.

Just grabbed random game, happened to be Metroid Prime (applause). Here's what it says:

"If a disc becomes dirty, or contaminated with fingerprints, the system may not be able to read the game data correctly. If necessary, clean the disc with a soft, slightly damp cotton cloth (use water only). Clean the disc from center towards the edges; do not use a circular motion."

Whenever I've sought advice for cleaning a disc, that's the first thing I've always been told.

Must be really bad. Never found out, though :D.

*bows head in shame*

Its not my fault the disc got grubby! I play 8 player link up games with Xbox round my mates some time, When we wanted to play Timesplitters 2 system link, I must of took the Halo disc out and just left it, to die...

(TS2 system link is awful by the way, in fact its an awful game altogether)

Thanks anyway for helping.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
