Ok now I know this isn't much of a post but it was just a topic that interested me, I won't use the excuse 'I'm new here (dont shoot)' because that is just silly, although i haven't been on this site before i can still decipher what is decent and what is not.

Anyhoo I was playing Zelda: TWW the other day and my girlfriend walked in and watched for a while, she asked me why I spent hours of my free time on a video-game? To be honest i wasn't sure, for me it's just something I have grown up with right from the good old Commodore or even the Spectrum. What about you?

I don't think anyone really has a reason. It seems strange when you think about it: We don't know why we play yet are totally addicted...

Same reason I play football, watch films etc.

To unwind, to have fun, to entertain myself.

I have a reason.

I play games becuase they are fun, I enjoy them.
