If you hop on over to here:

http://gamesradar.msn.co.uk/ downloads/default.asp? subsectionid=196&articleid=65389&pagetype=2

You'll notice that Gamesradar have a video up of a full race on Mario Kart.

I watched it last night and I was dissapointed, though I still know its going to be great fun.

It doesn't look like much has changed from previous Mario Kart outings, apart from the two riders in one kart thing. In the video you'll see Luigi go up close sometimes and whack another player, things like this are going to make it better but still one major thing has gone.

That is speed. Where the hell has the speed gone? Ok, I know the characters now have to ride on self-made Carnival floats but doesn't mean they can't stick in *insert large number here*cc engines. It looks like it plays very slow which is a shame, maybe this is to aid the kart character switching thing or something, I don't know.

Another thing I noticed which was new to me was the way in which a 'Special' weapon is gained. In the video Mario and Luigi were in the kart and so the special was those fireball things which bounced around like crazy nits. So I don't think I'll be wrong in saying people like Donkey & Diddy Kong will have their own Special move, as will the other characters.

It'll be great none the less and I can't wait to play the thing. Oh god, I've just imagined them sticking Pokemon characters in Mario Kart :-S or creating a new game completely, Pokemon Kart. eeeeeek. No matter how much the Pokemon games rule, I wouldn't want that.

Who was that directed at.

I was talking about Paratrooper in Mario Tennis 64.

I'm actually also pleased. After GCSEs I'll have so many games I've had to wait to play, I wouldn't have to time to play them all.

This is also goon on Ninty's behalf.

You'd think that, but Mario Tennis on the N64 ruled.

Almost as much fun as Mario kart in multiplayer.

Yeah, a cash-in, maybe, but it was a Mario game, so it was brilliant.

:-D

Mario Golf was still better, though.

And no, he wasn't in the N64 version. They replaced him with Wario.

I remember seeing him in demo screenshots too. Damn.

But still, he's back and that's all that matters. :D

Nope, that was all made up, don't think the game's finished yet.

Expect it about Novemeber time, in a way that's better because it'll be one of the big games this Xmas.
