"Just got Def Jam Vendetta..."

Brilliant! Wasn't sure what to expect but its absolutley brilliant. I went into Survival mode straight away and lost in my first fight. I quickly went to the Tutorial section and looked at the 10 Tutorials. The frame rate is a solid 60 FPS and the game runs liks a sweet Ferrari. A lot of the moves are taken straight from the WWE so it doesn't feel out of place at all. Hell in a Cell and Table matches would have made the game something VERY VERY special but I will settle for whats there :) A quick question for Tilta if he is around...

Is there a special move like The Rock Bottom? With Ghost Face Killer I have done the modified Rock Bottom twist but it isn't his finishing move. I am still trying to find someone who has got a really special finisher but I aren't succeeding very well. I like Capones finisher where he punches them loads of times and then just knocks them over :) Sweet sweet move...

I tried Story mode for a bit but I have just taken a break at the moment. I will go back later on and master the game a bit more. In the mean time a little help with whose finisher looks good etc would be appreciated, thankyou.

I am looking forward to getting it as I am very impressed with Def Jam. Hopefully EA BIG won't screw up like EA Sports did after Fifa 95. Should be picking it up in a couple of weeks.

Definitely takes a while to get used to.

Have played NBA street 1/2 on the PS2? I only played NBA street on the cube for a few minutes this morning, but it just doesnt seem to go down to well with the pad. Maybe it takes a little getting used to, but the PS2 pad is soooooooooo much easier to pull of funky combo's with.

If there's a royal rumble mode like the one in Royal Rumble on the DC then I'll be happy and maybe buy it.
No Mercy mixed with Royal Rumble would be great.

Well it looks very No Mercy anyway and has had a lot of good press saying it's much better than the X8 stinkfest. Just hope it doesn't turn out to be another smell nob of a game.

See I thought Yukes were the ones who produced the Smackdown games (and Royal Rumble for DC). And they are.
The people who worked on Wrestlemania 64 and No Mercy were AKI and Jakks pacific.

Yukes are working on X9 for THQ, Yukes worked in conjunction with AKi on 'No Mercy' and from what i've seen it's gonna be exactly like 'No Mercy'. Strong and hard grapples and tons of counters. Also the amount of match types looks superb, Hell in a Cell TL & C, Hardcore etc etc. It's gonna be the first next gen WWF game with blood in it as well. Story mode sounds excellent and there's also gonna be a shop much like the Smackdown Mall in 'No Mercy'
