Hey Ho, tomorow the bulk of the GCSE exams sets in, so as a confidence booster (or a last minute revision aid) i am making this thread, post your science question's and we can answer eachothers, testing how ready we are. I'll start the questions...

CHEMISTRY

1) Name the three parts of an atom

2) What is a compound?

3)What properties (name at least 2) do Ionic compounds have?

****** ****** ***** ***** ****** ******* ******* ****** ******

BIOLOGY

1) What are the four components that make up blood?

2) Explain Gene therapy

3) What are the products of photosynthisis?

****** **** ***** **** ****** ***** ***** ***** **** *** ****

PHYSICS

1) What are the two types of waves? (in earth quakes)

No thanks.

The beginning, the middle, the end.

Something Confusingly Rubbish.

I'm bored. Let's set you a few questions.

MATHS:
Integrate:- ln|x|
Expand using the binomial theorum, (4+3x)³
Explain how tanx can be integrated/differentiated about 5 bjillion times to form sec²x. Doing it the easy way won't get you any marks.

GEOGRAPHY:
What was my longest concentration span in any Geography lesson this year?
Otherwise, write a big boring essay using loads of case studies on natural hazards.

COMPUTING:
Name 3 parts of the systems lifecycle.
What does the SCR stand for?
How annoyingly confusing does this subject want to get?

I haven't done science in two years, most of the stuff here I didn't know then and I still got an A!

Let's see...

> CHEMISTRY
>
> 1) Name the three parts of an atom

Proton, Electron, Neutron?

> 2) What is a compound?

Two or more elements mixed?

> 3)What properties (name at least 2) do Ionic compounds have?

Oooh, I know this one! Something about the bonds. Damn.

> BIOLOGY
>
> 1) What are the four components that make up blood?

Plasma, Haemaglobin, red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells. (ARGH!?)

> 2) Explain Gene therapy

Never learnt this!

> 3) What are the products of photosynthisis?

Oxygen, Glucose.

Seismic-Waves, Longitudinal waves, P-Waves (There's three, I know that.)

> 2) What was Gallelao's (sp?) therory?

Dunno.

> 3) What is static electricity caused by?

Friction.

I'm doing double science, the way the system works is two
90 minute exams, and in each exam 30 minutes on each area.
