"Only 5% of games make a profit!!!!"

Do you realise only 5% of games make a profit, i know i had to read it twice as well to take it all in. Think of all the companys who make games and then see them make a loss. Why because some of us copy games well quite a few of us actually and it isnt doing the companys any good. I hear you say but i cant spend £30 a game its just two exspensive well i know where you are coming from. Is there a solotion to all this well icant think of one if you can post it and let everyone see it!!

If only 5% of games make a profit do you really think that there would be sooo many games around?

If only 5% of games made a profit most companies would have gone under ages ago!

I see some of you have questioned my figure of 5%. Well if you want it that way, all you have to do is go ot and buy pc gamer and read it and it will say 5%!! do you think i could make up such a gross number for game profits.

Could we have a bit of punctuation in your posts please. It puts people off reading them!!! All you have to do is slip the odd comma or full stop in there and there we go....

Where did you get that figure from??
It sounds like rubbish to me.... If only 5% of games made any profit, then people wouldn't make games... simple as that.

Maybe it's something like - games make on average 5% profit on original investment? Or something like that instead?

I'd be interested to hear where you got the info!

I'm not entirely convinced at that figure, but it is true that piracy is a killer to the industry.
