The game forums are closing, so i am moving the popular FF forum here. No spamming, just 100% FF. Let's start with a question.... which of the FFs is the best?

That is one element of FFVII I do like, though in a way, I kind of liked Midgar and the freedom so soon I didn't like. Seemed, well, nice :D

To me FFVII's the best. It doesn't have the best of graphics, but the storyline, battle and magic systems, locations, vehicles etc I feel would probably be the best of the series.

I really like the way that at the start of the game, the whole world is Midgar, and then it opens up really nicely. Not sure why.

Good point Blank, but with FF4 to 6, the graphics are just old and I'm used to 3D, plus I don't like the ye olde prince and princess stuff.

FF7 I got bored off, so to me it wasn't good for that reason. FF9 I'm on the final boss, so I'd say I am in a position to judge whether I feel it's better or worse then FF8, and 10 I have nearly completed too, and it's very linear.

Final fantasy 7 has to be the best for the soul perpose the Sephiroth is the best designed baddy ever.
Final fantasy 4 (2 for you americans) is second as it is the first of the series to have such indepth story and action. If you haven't played in then go and download it off kazaa and get addicted!!!!!

...so you think FFVIII is the best, yet you haven't completed any others?

ive got this really good trick for loads of gil in ff8.
you have to have tonberry and recovery medicine refine though.
use call shop (must have familiar, haggle etc) and buy 100 cottages from the esthar shop and refne those into 50 mega-potions repeat and just sell them for a huge profit.
FF8 is definately the best

I would start a new game, but I've reached Ultimecia's Castle in both my games (and completed one of em) so a third time round would make my playing time almost 250-300 hours.

Still got 7,9,10,4,5 & 6 to go, all at different stages. (10 furthest in game, though I'll probably start a new game)

Well on the disk it is the writting and picture so I'm guessing it's the same throughout. Naughty me hasn't played it yet. still got FF, FF IV and FF V to go through aswell. *Hangs head in shame*

Thinking about FF VIII that is really a great one. It was the first one I played and it is really enjoyable. I really want to play it now but disk 1 is scratched to hell so I got to buy a new copy.

I like the FF8 ending best of all. Sometimes I think I don't really like 8, but when I think properly about it, it was probably my favorite. Wierd, that.

Anywho - to anyone who's got Origins (not me *hangs head*) - have they redone the FF2 logo so it looks like all the others (simple Final Fantasy text with a piccie behind) or is it how it was 'back in the day' (weird writing with a big II next to it)?
