I'm on the fourth disk - not met a necron guy yet but just went in the top of lifa tree fought about 6 bosses and got to kuja and a dragon at end

3rd disk i think. your pretty much near the end though. soon as you fight this guy called necron that's the ending

But am i at the end nearly?

no no i remembered now. it's one of the coins you collect to get the sword THEN you go fight the monster who'll be easy as pie

I think i'm on the last bodd. I'm in a crystal place and about to fight Kuja who sends down a big dragon. Is that the ending?

i wasn't the one asking how to get the blood sword mate. you actually get it by defeating the monster in the dungeon in the shop with the old woman if i rememebr correctly. can't remember all way back to march

Gosh! Umm......i haven't played FF9 for a bit because of my new games on my PS2. I'm pretty sure your you can receive it from the woman who asks you to get 12 special coins named after constellations (then an extra one afterwards making 13). I'm not entirely sure how many you need to give to recieve the blood sword but about 4, maybe 5. I'll have to play it through again to find out.
Strange. You say you can complete FF9 with the blood sword but you don't know how to get it? Are you assuming you can complete FF9 with the blood sword? Yes of course but I always strive for the best weapon to get the best stats and the best abilities (even though the blood sword helps regain any lost HP).
