I didn't have time to do any attacks at all! I was too busy using up all my darn Curas on everyone. I ended up beating him with a series of Limit Breaks!
spd increases (20 and 40%)
autohaste
Alert (prevents back attacks)
gf hp (10,20 and 30%)
Str,Mag,Spr,Spd,Hit,Elem attack,ST attack,ST Def (x1,x2,x4) and Ability 3.
I think nearly all of those will come in handy at some point (batle against the Cactuars and you'll soon have them all).
