You already have Valefore's Energy Blast overdrive??!?! Damn you!
I went through the entire game wihout it and only got it a few days ago when I managed to get back into Besaid Village after defeating Dark Valefore.
Still, 85000HP isn't bad at all for Valefore. Shame his normal attacks and defense level suck.
I got through in one go though - Valefor's Energy Blast overdrive managed to finally kill off the bodyguards then it was plain sailing.
And I ahvenm't really been sucked into FFX yet, i got killed by the Al Bhed Crawler then couldn't be bothered to do it again.
I know I'll beat it because when it killed me it had 220 HP left.
I wanted a Breath of Fire 4 system where when your first 3 died the 3 spectators in your party replaced them. it was great.

In my early PSone owning years I didn't have an official memory card, but one of those 16 page ones which held a lot of information. It was both my lack of knowledge in how to use it and my lack care that led me to delete my FF7 save. Very, very stupid.

I hate it when stuff like that happens! I remember on Phantasy Star Online, I spent hours and hours getting the Soul Eater (brilliant weapon) and then once I had it, I accidentally dropped it when I died and then quit without picking it back up. It automatically saves when you quit and all weapons not on you or in your bank disappear, so I lost it!! I was damn annoyed.
Anyway, if I were to delete my FFX game I'd be majorly pithed off considering I've been going for 96 hours!
Suddenly the will to live is fading...
