Yeah. Evrae was the only boss that I lost to. And I lost twice to it as well, rubbing salt in the wound. I really thought I couldn't get any better - but then i learnt the "Everybody - Overdrive!" technique. Battles were easy from then on.

Evrae annoyed the hell outa me.
I'm tryin to do all the secret stuff at the end of the game, now i've completed it. Anyone got any tips for fightin shinryu in the monster arena? Funnily enough, it's evrae but a lot stronger.

I'm on the far plains just going i think, though i may stay and train up abit. I'm taking it slow trying to train my people and get the most out of it a really good game
I re-started FFx :-).
Girlie thought it would be 'funny' to delete my save :-|

Pre-emptive and back attacks are usually decided on the Luck stats, or some other stat that I can't be bothered about (or isn't visible to the player). When the former occurs, all the player's character's can strike first at the monster, and vice-versa for back attacks. note this occurs in Final Fantasy iand Hybrid Heaven - I'm not sure about other RPGs.
