Nobody ever gets connected at 56k anyway, I used to always get connected at 46.6k.
That's about a maximum of 5.8kb/s on a PERFECT line with a perfect conection to the server.

Adware itself slows things down and makes systems unstable Ive found.

That is sooooo wrong whenever ive been using 56k to download the multiple connectivity that you mention helps things along nicely... Sort of like parallel downloading as opposed to serial if you only have one download source
