I was agreeing with you; anyone falling for this so easily is a cetain 'pillock'. I try to tell him things like this, but he and his friends are so wrapped up in the fact that they could make hundreds of pounds that he just won't listen. I've come to the conclusion that he can learn from this himself.
It was an 'unaimed nod!'
So where is he getting them from them?

He's got a mate who owns a PS2 and Xbox, and came round our house the other day excitedly saying he was getting a GameCube off his friend's dad who has 'connections with the wholesalers' for £20. Of course, I was extremely sceptical - but he wouldn't have a bar of it.
They're now planning to buy a fair few and sell them for around £40 at 100% profit on eBay.

Buying for £20 and selling at £40 is 50% profit.

No Mav was right. £40 is 200% of £20. So with the cost at £20 or 100%, then they make a profit of 100%.
