NGC are running a time trial comp for Super Mario Kart (yes the snes one) and M64, SMK one is on ghost valley 1, and the MK64 is on luigi's raceway or something like that.

The highest time predictably wins, although it doesnt mention what the prizes will be. Video evidence will be accepted ONLY.

I dont have MK64 so ive been playing SMK, so far my best time is 1:15:53.

Hop to it. I need competition.

Cookie, just an idea, couple of weeks ago I did a search on google for MK fan sites, there are loads of them and some of the better ones have fastest times etc.

Yeah ive been looking at best time vids since i saw the competition. Ive already whittled my time to 1:12:13.

Cookie, I had a couple of goes for starters, best time 1.16.06 - using Toad and without the turbo start (couldn't remember when to press accelerate - is it just after the amber light ?)

Please let me know what kart your using and how to do the turbo start, thanks.

I have MK on the N64 but never managed that wall jump bit very well so think I will give the N64 contest a miss.

Yeah, ive got my best time to 1:09:98 now, i use d.k Jr. To turbo start you have to accelerate just after the first light goes out.

I'll give this a go.
