Another borrowed thread idea off the lovely @ngel.

List 5 things interesting or not about you that we didn't know before. (Of course you can list more if you like)

1. I have one blue eye and one brown eye.
2. I don't like fish or peanuts (possibly because of their strong smell).
3. I was born on Friday 13th, 13 is one of my lucky numbers.
4. My favourite food is Chinese
5. As a kid I loved watching saturday morning cartoons and had a crush on Penny the girl from the Inspector Gadget cartoon. heh.

Yea you sometimes think if you spend too much time with one parent they'll see it as you siding with the other and what not, it's a very hard situation for the kids to be in and is always a shame when parents split up.

Ah well if you can walk into the room not wanting to kill your dad you have a better relationship with him than i do with mine :-D

Aha. I've never been really close to my Dad, but my parents split up earlier this year (I was told about it when I came back from Uni in the Easter holidays... I was going out for a mates Bday that night... Really felt crap, but only told my best mate who was there, and my girlfriend over the phone as I didn't want to spoil anyone's fun...), and it's been hard not to get closer to my Dad...

Felt a bit like me and my brother were all he had at one point... Maybe that makes it seem more melodramatic than it was, but at the time I felt it was true, and I really dreaded coming home after the Summer term at Uni, really didn't know how everything would work...

Speaking of pubs, the American age of drinking being 21 is a bit stupid surely...? I know here we have the 'binge-drinking' problem, but it's more a culural thing rather than the age we allow drinking at (the rest of Europe seems far better for drinking overall, not just in young drinkers), and 21 is just... Well, it's been reported that lots of American students smoke Cannabis simply because it's a lot easier to get hold of than alcohol...

That's nice, wish i was close to my step-dad like you are with your dad. It's a struggle just to get us to eat in the same room without arguing :-D

Went out to eat with my Brother & Dad as I'm going back to Uni on Saturday and my Bro is leaving for Oxford tomorrow to go job-hunting.

So we went out for a 'last meal' before... Whenever... Probably Christmas I guess.

Then went to a pub to have a drink.

A meal and some alcohol kept me occupied. Until I got home and came on the internet.

In essence, every country has major problems. I don't think America did itself any favours re-electing a bible-bashin moron who stole the previous election, but hey, we Brits made ourselves look just as stupid by re-electing his lap-dog.

In the end I think America often does itself no favours in relation to painting a favourable picture of itself to the rest of the world, but then again, outside of the UK the same could be true of here...

Meh, I really don't know, the idea of 'countries' and generalising people based on them seems a little stupid to me, as does the very idea of countries themselves... After all, aren't countries simply glorified gangs working in the interests of their members (ie. countrymen/women)?

Anyway, to get back to the point of the topic...

- I think I'm out of drinking practice. I've had a bottle of stella, about a third of a bottle of wine, and a pint of Kronenburg, and I feel tired and tipsy... This is a poor showing!
- I'm going back to Uni on Saturday.
- On Saturday evening I'm seeing Adequate Seven play their last central London gig... :'( It'll be great, but sad too.
- I've just noticed the box of Morrisons Honey Nut Corn Flakes in the corner, and am tempted...
- This post may be slightly incoherant / non-sensical due to my slightly inebriated state...
