When do we actualy see the HDD and modem?

Final Fantasy X uses it and Japan and got it round about the same time it was released but what about the modem?
Alot of games can go online now so why don't they get their act together and release it :-(


It got me thinking the other day, what will you be able to do with them both?

customise the browser screens with your favourite game characters.
download mp3's.
download abandonware PS1 games
play online
surf the net
download demos
patches
mods
extras

with 40gig (4 and a half times bigger than the xbox) you've bags of space to do with it what you please.

any idea for a release date?

I meant the X-Box isn't worth it, its a brick for christs sake.

The PS2 add-ons are well worth it for the price they've said, im getting the HDD and Ethernet connection straight away. It'll be cool.

A 40 gig PC HDD is almost £200. I really dont think it will be any cheaper than £200. I mean look at Sony equipment they are of good quality but the price is high. Since the HDD is doing well in Japan(those guys are wierd) dont be surprised if the HDD/modem package is more expensive than the console, I know Sony would risk this.

And also I think people should make the decisions for themselves dont listen to mags they'll always tell you to get it as long as you can afford it sometimes I find the Videogames mags biased toward console manufactures for example PSM2 is biased to PS2 and some other unnofficial xbox mags will be biased toward the xbox.

£200 thats way to much maybe it'll be cheaper

We aint missing nothing, just another expensive brick to hold my Tv upright instead of my good old Dreamcast. no more tilting of my head now agagahghhh...

Summer 2002 in the Uk is when we are said to get it...
