Is now my favourite Xbox game.

It's truly fantastic, and at only £14 from Amazon everyone who doesn't have it should go buy it now :)

Anyway, talk later, playing Warcraft now.

Sniper rifle? I think I'll try one of those.

I had fun with my spider-legged light mech in a 'free class' game. Just ran around cloaked and drilled everything to death!

I think I'll see if I can get a mech with just bullet weapons in all slots. I'd just face it towards another mech, press all the butoons at once, and watch the fun! :D

Yeah, I'm going for a strong all-rounder though, which is why I'm using the Holy class.

I would have been lost without my sniper rifle for my Photon! 60 ammo and 3500 damage, dispatces most things in class D/C matches in one or two shots.

If you're doing a super-heavy mech: Keep reinforcing the legs. Then when you've got weight to spare add weight to the guns - to make them do more damage. You have to lose a bit of ammo for the weight, but it balances out if you get your weapon to 'one hit kill status' you don't need that much ammo as each shot is a kill. Druid's BIGSHOT is very much a one hit kill weapons now.

Also if you don't know it doesn't matter if you run out of money. I found this out about 150 'game days' into the game. If you don't have enough to repair your mech: it gets repaired anyway!
It seems to be about balancing upgrades with entrance fees. But it seems that, as long as you keep enough for entrance fees, you can spend everything else on the mechs!

I didn't read the manual.

In my first game I ran past one of the gates and he walked into it and left, that's how I knew :)

I'm building a new mech from scratch, a Holy type. It's finished but over weight, it's costing me a fortune to reinforce the legs :(

Oh yeah. When I put 'see below'.

I was going to say that for the first 30/40 games I had: I didn't realise you could get out the arenas again. I guess I missed that bit in the manual!

That's why the return rate is low. I'm better than that at the game :D

Sounds good.

Anyone who likes mech games would do well to check out Armoured Core 3 on PS2.
