I think the pub owners and the merchandise sellers were rooting for England more than most. Now we're out I'm seeing England shirts on sale, fewer cars with flags, people talking about Big Brother instead of the football. It's a shame really :(

Anyone else noticing this?

Indeed, Ronaldinho didn't exactly set the tournament alight but he's still one of the best players in the world.

Quite a few players have had disappointing tournies really

yes I felt that too, I thought I was watching the Euro tounry not the world cup, I was expecting a lot more from some of the players.

It started off well but this tournie has been very disappointing, whether that's due to a poor standard of play or the ref's and FIFA ruining it i don't know but i much preferred 2002 (though that could be my Asian bias showing through :-D)

Ah yes Korea and Japan. Korea got through but I think they're out already. I think my ex said the Singapores tend to cheer for them. I wonder if it worked and got the Koreans and Japanese interested more in football. I heard the figures have gone up in America but weather thats because of the hispanics I dont know :S

Oh one thing I forgot to mention, at the travel agents I saw an advert for £400 off Portugal holidays :D I guess the numbers of Brits going there will drop. Might be a good time to go if you ever fancied Kawada ;D

Learn Spanish, Portuguese is not far off that.
