Not been to any gaming shops of late, but the online places seem to be very quiet on the GBP itself.
However, the pad is made by a company called Hori, with Ninty's support, who I guess might not release it here, though it'd still be a bit of a surprise.
Got mine already, for about £15 delivered from play-asia, who I love (long time).
