"Why should we develop games for formats that don't generate comparable returns?" Cousens asked. "We are still supporting PS2 and Xbox, but Nintendo? No, not in the near future."
Acclaim still plans to release titles already in development for Nintendo's platform. That small list of software includes such titles as Urban Freestyle Soccer, Legends of Wrestling III, and XGRA. "
In terms of quality gaming this doesn't really matter, Acclaim games in general suck balls, but on the other hand this means no more Turok games (last one sucked but I still like the series) no more XG and no more Burnout.
Not the biggest losses ever but still, they're games that the Cube really could do with to help boost the catalogue.
They have the cheek though to blame crap sales on Cube. FOR F**K SAKE! make good games and we'll buy them, make sh-t games and we won't buy them. Is it that hard for these dumb ass developers to work out?
They know where they can shove Legends of Wrestling 3 and Urban Freestyle Soccer.
Enough of the anger though. This is a major blow in my eyes (not literally you sick puppy) though in terms of business, Acclaim are quite a large games publisher and to have them completly drop Cube is not gonna look good in the eyes of shareholders and also games developers.
Still, this is a pisch-poor wway of treating sales. Most companies would get motivated and actually produce decent games, not withdraw support. My view? Lazy-assedidiots.
Gah, stupid gits.
Lets hope it isn't quite as set in stone as they make out to be, eh?
