I know how upsetting this subject is to some people because I have been In the past and quite recently by many people.
It's horrible, you sometimes feel like killing yourself but your not stupid enough to do this. They are normally embarrased about themselves or have been bullied them selves and need to take their anger out on someone. They probably have grown up with bullying and that's how they've learnt to make a living. It's sad I know but it can wreck your lives and It makes you feel all cut up inside and your imperfect and there is something wrong with you and nobody will like you for that reason.
I know I'm going on a bit but If you've been through what I've been through It's like a living hell. You can't get it out of your mind, your in constant fear of them in case they do it again. You try to keep away from them but they seem to just be everywhere.
They think they're so big and it makes them feel cool that they've hurt the feelings of another human being. They wouldn't like it if they were going through the same thing as you. They keep doing it because they feel they have power over you and you being scared of them will make them think they have. Stand tall and don't take any of their c**p but don't try and hurt them or call them names becaue that means your sinking to their level and that's what they are like.
Only thick people bully and just because they're big or they treaten you don't listen as the saying goes, Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you. Just remeber this and believe in yourself. There's nothing wrong in you it's them they are imperfect they have something wrong with them. They're just looking for something bad about you so they just hurt you to bring down your confidence and that makes them feel powerful.
Remeber if you are a victim of bullying them tell a trusted adult or teacher, I know it sounds corny but it works. Just trust me. Listen to someone who knows about this.
And again remeber don't sink to their level It's just doing what they're doing to you.

i was bullyed from 5 until i left secondary school last year.
it's a horrible experience but in the long run it makes you stronger.

well I've never been bullied really. Everyone's had the name calling stuff, but its never been too bad. But yes, bullies are cowards.
Who do they pick on? Those physically weaker than themselves, and even then they need back up from a crowd. And you've got to remember the reason they are bullying you.
- They need to make themselves feel 'big'
- They want to impress people because that's the only way they can impress people
- They need to put people down so they can feel superior.
Probably more than those too, but no matter what a bully has been through, they shouldn't be taking it out on an innocent bystander. Don't feel sorry for them.
The advice is practically all here (good work WW), now the hard part is just to take it.

Thought I'd update
One of my friends was being bullied and all of the solutions including mine in the end the bully left to another school because his Mum got married. But my friends life was a living hell. What could he have done that would have worked. =B0p
I was gonna join Karate but I all ready o to ATC Air Training Corps.
