Right, Indy Car is out, and Sony's new F1 title is out in a few days. I feel like I want a track racer, but I have seen no reviews for either (Didn't know F1 was out til yesterday). Anyway, I want F1 as I like the Sony series, but I wondered what the damage is like? Also, is it like any old F1 game? I also wanted Indy Race League as the crashes look mental, it is meant to have really sound handling, yet all the tracks are ovals. Does anyone (Mainly you, Darwock) have any info/reviews/personal opinions on the game, to help me out whether to buy either of them. Thank you muchly.

I suppose you might like it - I think I've been spoiled by playing GPC, but I'm still fairly sure F1CC looks worse than F1 2002 did. And the handling is still awful - how many chances have EA had to change this, and they've never bothered!!

By the way you can't change ANY settings in career mode. Damage is set to 'forgivable' too. The only redeeming feature in my view is the option to go as Barrichello in the 99 Stewart Ford ;-)

Sony's effort will be out very soon - interested to see how that shapes up. Sorry Natbuc I won't be trying Indy because it doesn't let me use my wheel. Using the controller for racers just doesn't match up for me these days... and I like proper racing not just potenital crashing situations ;-)

I've been put right off Career challenge by hearing that you can only race around 7-8 laps in the actual Career mode. What's the point in that? I want proper race lengths

Thats not good news as I picked that game for my GAD win. Is it really that bad?

But, it is fantastic. Really. You should give it a try. It's a hell of alot more harder and exciting than most racers. :P

I prefer crashing, but I like the odd corner where you actually have to slow down.
