This annoys the hell out of me. MSR was one of my favourite games on Dreamcast, I'm not a big racing fan but it managed to be realistic but still remain fun.
This is why PGR annoys the crap out of me. MSR was always challenging but it never felt like an uphill struggle and never got to the point where you didn't want to play anymore because it was just too damn frustrating. There was always steady progression and it always rewarded you for doing well.
This is were PGR goes horribly wrong, it's to be blunt just damn annoying. Where some of the new additions are nice, the graphics are nice, the new tracks are nice etc etc. What they've done with the game play down right sucks. The new Kudos system is rubbish, the fact that you can only use 1 joker in every cup seems like a small niggle but it's actually really frustrating, the level of difficulty on some of the challenges had increased 10 fold to stupid levels. Oh and don't get me started on the stupid cone challenges.
Don't get me wrong, PGR IMO is still an above average racing game and I will stick with it. But it's no longer the fun game that MSR was, it's frustrating to the point that I want to smash the TV with my fist.

Erm I would like to know how you worked that one out...
What did I misinterpret? You said you would re-consider a purchase of Project Gotham 2 because Tilta said it was challenging and at times frustrating. He never once said it was a bad game so how the hell do you come to the conclusion of not getting the 2nd one?
When you moan that there aren't that many Xbox exclusives worth getting may you consider the fact that Project Gotham Racing is one of the best titles on the Xbox and yet you are going to ignore it and wait for the second. I think its about £12 pre-owned if you look around (probably less) and from the amount of hours I have clocked playing it there is certainly a lot to do.
Stop being a scrooge and open your pocket :)

The only pathetic thing here is that you seem to turn most of my comments into vicious attacks on "the best [insert genre here] game you've ever played". Tiltawhirl outlined the bad points of PGR, and so I made a passing comment that I will therefore not consider this game an absolute must buy.
What on earth is wrong with this?
> Well well. What do we have to say about this then?
Its called a figure of speech because its pathetic that you can't make up your own opinion.

Well well. What do we have to say about this then?
