The question mark indicates that it was a question and that it's obvious that it was also asking where you live...

The question requires you to have been asked that as a question for it to make sense. You weren't asked that question, you were raplying to no-one, therefore your question did not make sense.
Like if I wrote
You asked me about strawberrys?
Which implies you asked me, which you didn't, therefore my question makes no sense.
Normally I'm all for surreal questions. But you don't ask one when you're trying to correct someone. As it makes you look foolish.
On messenger he was telling me how he was going to leave the forums anyway...
