Whether or not there is a grain of truth in this, I dont know.

I just heard from a friend that KaZaA (The thing that provides free MP3's and stuff) has being outlawed and if you continue to use it that music giants such as Warner Bros and Sony are going to begin prosecuting people.

Apparently this was on BBC news, which I didn't see today, but surely someone out there did.

So is this true or just a hoax to put people off downloading stuff?

i have kazaa and id love it if someone tried to prosecute me for using it.

Thats news sucks. I download everything from Kazaa. This means I have to pay for the stuff I want now. How are they going to stop people using it as theres so many that download stuff off it everyday. Does anyone else know any good places to download free MP3's?

Over 270 million people have downloaded Kazaa.

But Kazaa has been ruled legal by a US Judge. But the RIAA is not going to start prosecuting individuals. So beware.

Napster was based on a central server, whereas Kazaa is simple peer to peer, therefore harder to shut down. At least, that's what my mate told me & I'm parroting his words like a good boy.

Ok. 3 million, minimum. Not likely, i hope it doesn't do the same as napster.
