If you haven't noticed, read the last line of each.

What's worse is that ELSPA don't rate anything as "E for Everyone"

That pleasure goes to the American rating board ESRB!

As for ELSPA, they rarely give games age ratings now, leaving it to Pegi's own rating system.

The only ratings which are really enforced are for Films, videos and various 'magazines'. Music ratings are not enforced at all. Games fall somewhere inbetween depending on the retailer. Until games get to be as realistic as films most people aren't going to be concerned about the rating. For many publishers sticking an '18' or '15' on the box adds to the sales and 'word of mouth' sales of a game.

Well I don't know what better evidence there is that Nintendo have a kiddy image! You think they even played it?

I was under the impression that as ELSPA ratings were voluntary they couldn't be enforced. BBFC ratings however are legal. But how many did that stop from buying Perfect Dark?
