Does anyone get port-scanned a lot in a day?

I have had warnings of a blocked port-scanning 4 times in the last day. Is this a normal occurance or should I burn my computer with holy fire?

I'm on a wireless network. That itself is Firewalled, the wireless transceiver has a built-in firewall, the PC downstairs I connect to has NIS and on this PC I have Freedom firewall (Which came with Wireless PCI card).

Sorted. And the best thing is the PC downstairs doesn't have to be on for me to get on the net- score! :D

I get warnings all the time, people trying to use Hack a tac, Ultor or backdoor/subseven trojans.

They hit my firewall like flies hitting those elctrical fly killers you see in chipshops.

As long as you have a decent firewall, you don't need to worry.

If it's reporting them - that means it's stopped them, and no need to worry.

I personally, however, have two firewalls ;) Hardware and software.

I need to get my firewall back!

Oh, and it's probably something to do with this massive 'hackathon' today...
